Formative assessment
Evaluate students interacting performance and how they are putting effort into the project. Are they focused and taking the instructional steps in completing this task? The facts are collected and summarized with information and ideas provided by each group member. Ask questions, give guidance, and recommend resources throughout the development of project to keep students motivated to it. Engagement is important. For instance, a student may be motivated because of due date and grade, but without engagement they wouldn’t learn anything.
